You probably know that “The Secret” is out. Or haven’t you heard yet?
Not the secret of the town. The Secret is the movie that is being talked about the most these days. This movie talks about a secret, about the secret.
It is a movie that I believe we all need to watch, and watch again when we forget.
Although I do not want to spoil the fun of it, I would like to share some quotes from the movie. It is such a good summary of most of what we know, and what we don’t, and what we are not aware of. Yet, more importantly than that, it reminds us that there is a key that can open up a whole new life in front of us. We can have a new beginning – the moment we decide, no matter where we start.
***
The secret in this movie is one law that seems to shape and determine our lives the most. They call it The Law of Attraction.
And this is how the story goes. I am sharing some of the lines directly quoted from the movie. I sometimes like books, authors to speak for themselves. Now it is time for “The Secret” to speak:
The secret gives you everything you want: happiness, health and wealth.
You can do, have and be anything you want.
We can have whatever is that we choose, I don’t care how big it is.
What kind of a house do you want to live in? Do you want to be a millionaire? What do you really want?
Everything that is coming into your life, you are attracting into your life, and it is attracted to you by the virtue of the images you are holding in your mind.
Whatever is going in your mind, you are attracting to you.
The law of attraction says, like attracts like. But we are talking at a level of thought.
You become what you think about the most, but also you attract what you think about the most.
If you see it in your mind, you will hold it in your hand.
Thoughts become things.
Thought has a frequency. Every thought has a frequency.
Most people think of what they don’t want. And they are wondering why it shows up over and over again.
The law of attraction responds to our thoughts.
When you are looking at that thing you want and say “yes” to it, you are activating a thought. The law of attraction is responding to that thought and brings things that match that.
When you look at something you don’t want and shout “no” at it, you are actually not pushing it away. Instead you are activating the thought of what you do not want. And now the law of attraction is lining those things up for you also.
The law of attraction is always working, whether you believe it or understand it or not.
The law of attraction says we will give you whatever you say and focus on. So if you are complaining of how bad it is, what you are creating is more of how bad it is.
His whole life changed because he changed from focusing on what he did not want, what he was afraid of, what he wanted to avoid, to focusing on what he did want.
So we may be very positive in our outlook or orientation, and we tend to attract positive people and positive events and circumstances. When we are very negative in our orientation or angry, in which case we tend to attract negative angry people and negative angry circumstances.
You see the law of attraction evidenced in your society when you see the one who talks most of illness has it.
Quantum physics says you cannot have a universe without the mind entering. The mind is shaping the very thing perceived.
An affirmative thought is hundreds of times more powerful than a negative thought. That eliminates a degree of worry right there. (There is always hope. Z)
We live in a universe in which there are laws. The law of gravity. If you fall off a building it doesn’t matter if you are a good person or a bad person, you are going to hit the ground.
Everything that surrounds you right now in your life, including the things you are complaining about, you have attracted. I know in first blush, it is going to be something you’ll hate to hear. You are immediately going to say, “I didn’t attract the car accident” “I didn’t attract this particular client”, “I didn’t particularly attract the debt”. “I didn’t attract – whatever it happens to be that you are complaining about.” I am here to be a little bit in your face and to say: “yes, you did attract it.” And this is one of the hardest concepts to get. But once you have accepted it; it’s life transforming. This is part of the overall giant secret.
Your emotions help you understand what you are thinking. Your thoughts cause your feelings. Emotions are this incredible gift that we have to let us know what we are attracting.
There are only 2 emotions from our perspective. One feels good and one feels bad. (Bad feelings point out) that which you are thinking about right now is not in line with what you really want. … The one that feels good, hope or happiness or love, that good feeling, that positive emotion is guidance saying that which you are thinking right now is in alignment with what you want.
What am I attracting right now? If you are feeling good, Good! Keep doing that!
Our feelings are a feedback mechanism to us about whether we are on track or not. Whether we are on course or off course.
The better you feel, the more in alignment you are. The worse you feel, the more out of alignment you are.
Whatever it is you are feeling is a perfect reflection of what is in the process of becoming.
What you think and what you feel and what manifest is always a match, every single time, no exceptions.
When you visualize, then you materialize.
“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.” Albert Einstein.
Decide what you want. Believe you can have it. Believe you deserve it. Believe it’s possible for you. And then close your eyes, everyday for several minutes, visualize having what you already want. Feel the feelings of already having it. Come out of that, and focus on what you are grateful for already, and really be enjoying. And go into your day and release in to the universe, and trust that the universe will figure out the how to manifest.
If you notice knowledge, you should start playing with it.
Focus upon what you want.
And
There’s nothing you are supposed to do. Only, that which you want to do.
***
So the secret goes. And it is one that you should not be without. Consider this a preview. And go on to discover the secret for yourself.
Wish you days filled with magic.
With love,
Z.

7 Steps for a New Beginning
7 is a magical number. I like 7. There are days in a week, and 7 continents. There are 7 main chakras and 7 levels of our energy field, our aura. In numerology 7 may signal that we are on the right path and should keep up the work. Also, it may indicate the energy that allows us to accomplish things well and with fewer struggles. It is thought to carry the energy of stimulating and motivating others.
Maybe for this reason, when it comes to giving advise, many teachers choose to give suggestions and recommendation in groups of 7, or activities that will be carried on for 7, 14 or 21 days. Although it is not provable, I will agree that an activity carried out for 7 days allow the energy to be built up for the accomplishment of a goal. If an action can be continued for 21 days, it becomes a habit and it is easier to keep it in our lives. Of course it you refrain from an unwanted habit or even a negative thought for 21 days, it is easier for you to give it up as well.
This week, I will not break the tradition and offer you 7 Steps for a new beginning or just to shake off some dust from your path to joyful days:
Step 1 - Monday:Take a moment just to dream and to think about what you really want in life.
Dream freely and let your heart come out.
Observe and be aware. No judgments please.
Do you let yourself dream? Do you let yourself wish your heart’s desires?
As Carl Sandburg said: “Nothing happens unless first a dream.”
Are you aware of your unique gift that you bring to our world?
Let yourself dream, to discover yourself.
Andre Agassi tells that until the age of 10, he won the Wimbledon thousands of times in his mind. In 1992, his dream came true.
Step 2 - Tuesday:
Personal Goal Setting
1- For five minutes write down all the possibilities that you would like to have for yourself: What would you like to learn? Which abilities would you like to have? Whom would you like to have as your friends? Who would you like to be?
2- Set a deadline to achieve each of your goals? (For example, in 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 5 years, etc.)
3- Among your goals with a time limit of 1 year or less, choose one goal that excites you the most.
4- For 3 minutes, right a short essay telling how you are committed to achieve that goal in a year
Step 3 - Wednesday:
Take action.
Make three decisions now that will change your health, your career, your relationship, your life – and act upon them. Big or small does not matter. Just three decisions and there executions this day please. Great improvements can only be made through smaller steps. Each step makes a difference. Make a decision and follow through.
Step 4 - Thursday:
Don’t put off joy and happiness.
Do not set goals for yourself in order to be happy. Remember that there is a difference between achieving to be happy and happily achieving. Go for the latter. Do not measure your life’s value by achievement of goals. Check you direction in life. Are you moving toward your goals or away from them? If the direction is correct, you are on the right path. If not, take a deep breath and make a change to get back on track. Happiness sometimes arises from being in the right track.
Step 5 – Friday:
Look and you will find.
Today do an exercise that will prove to us that we find what we are looking for.
Wherever you are now, look around and ask yourself “What brown objects or things I see around?” Write down what you see. Then close your eyes. Try to remember objects or things that were green. If you are not acquainted with where you are, this will be difficult. You will remember things that are brown, but remembering the green ones will be difficult. At the end, open your eyes and look at everything that is green. Opportunities are very similar to the now sudden appearance of the green item. Remember, “Look, and you fill find.” Be aware of what you are really looking for.
Step 6 - Saturday:
Keep asking.
Questions create an answer at the moment and place where you believed that an answer was not possible. Every time I was in trouble, I kept asking “How can I make this situation improve?”, “How can I change this situation to positive?” I thought about these and similar empowering questions that keep my focus on solutions. If I keep asking, answers always come. So will you give up looking for the answers you want, or just keep asking questions to get them? I recommend the latter.
There are some empowering question that you may ask in the mornings and evenings.
Questions for the morning:
1- What am I happy about now? What are the things that make me happy? How am I feeling now?
2- What excites me in my life now? What are the things that excite me? How does being excited make me feel?
3- What am I proud of now? What are the things that make me proud of myself? How does that make me feel?
Questions for the night:1- What have I given out today? How did I contribute?
2- What did I learn today? What difference did I make?
3- How did today improve the quality of my life? How can I use today as an investment for tomorrow?
Step 7 - Sunday:
Choose different words to describe experiences.
When you choose to describe an experience with new and positive words, you create a new label for the event. You press on different biochemical buttons. You not only change the mental picture, but you also change the way you feel.
Changing the words we use to describe and define our experiences no matter what they may be, is a very powerful tool to improve our life almost instantly. You may not be consciously aware of your selection of words, but you nevertheless use them to create your future.
Make a list of positive words that you may use to describe your emotions. Make it a long and comprehensive list to cover a wide range of emotions. As a result, you will see your life improve right away like magic. Remember that our words seal what we have experienced.
***
You do not need to wait for miracles to improve your life or heal and solve your issues. You have the power to create that magic for yourself, with your positive expectations and words. Condition yourself to anticipate the best. Allow yourself to live your passions. Share your gifts with the world, to bring light to the lives of others. You are aware that you are capable of it all, aren’t you? As my teacher Moshe would say “Going fishing is always fun, with or without the fish at the end of the day.” So please remember to enjoy the ride as well.
Wish you many happy and joyful weeks. With love and light,
Z.
